I found you.

I stood,
leaning,
at the front of the breezy boat.

With eyes closed
and ears open
reaching out for you ...

And I found you
writing love songs
in turquoise braille
across the dancing open sea.

I dove down,
34 feet,
to the cool sandy bottom.

With breath held
and heart pounding.
Looking around for you ...

And I found you
flirting back
through the uplifted eyes
of a curious triggerfish, passing by.

I sat,
silently in the sacred human circle.

With fears melting
and possibilities unfolding.
Turning within for you ...

And I found you
holding my outstretched hand
laughing and smiling
with the innocence of a child.
